We develop functional literacy!

Professor InEU spoke about the development of functional literacy in the context of the updated content of education.

The webinar of Amangeldy Beisembayev, professor of the Department of Languages, Literature and Journalism, was attended by teachers of secondary and higher schools - teachers from all over Kazakhstan. The scientist shared with his Kazakhstani colleagues his vision of the development of functional literacy in the context of the updated content of education.

Amangeldy Rakishevich emphasized that one of the main problems of the modern school is excessive theorization and isolation of the educational process on oneself: if a student is taken outside the classroom, he does not know how to apply the knowledge gained in practical life. This means that the updated content of education is an urgent need, without which the formation of a socially adapted personality and the disclosure of its creative potential is impossible.

The scientist believes that solving situational problems and the formation of research skills of students will be successful if it has a purely practical focus.
The professor gave his recommendations on changes in the content of education, a change in teaching methods and noted the most significant landmarks of the renovation.

Representatives of the polytechnic college of the corporation "Kazakhmys" (Balkhash) proposed options for cooperation with the university. The teachers thanked Amangeldy Rakishevich for the set of textbooks on the Russian language, prepared within the framework of the updated content. The participants of the webinar noted the oratory skills of the professor and asked to organize a more detailed course for teachers of language disciplines.
