October 21, 2020 at the Pavlodar Regional Museum of History and Local Lore. GN Potanin hosted a round table dedicated to the memory of historiographer, naturalist and traveler Gerhard Friedrich Miller.

Our students of the educational program "Geography" took part in the discussion and heard reports from representatives of the Pavlodar House of Geography A. Vervekin, N. Mayba, G. Alieva, K. Shaydullina. As part of the Round Table, an educational tour of the museum's funds and expositions took place. Judging by the feedback from the students, the event was interesting and useful.

Gerhard Friedrich Miller is an outstanding historian, "father of Siberian history", geographer, cartographer, academician. Despite his insufficient knowledge of the Russian language, during ten years of work in Siberia, he became an outstanding specialist in the field of Russian history, source study, geography, ethnography.
