We continue to introduce you to the best of the best – the scholarship holders of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, who achieve great victories thanks to their knowledge, perseverance and willpower.
Alexander Petrenko is a third-year student at the Innovative University of Eurasia (Pavlodar c.). His interests include research in urban studies, sustainable urban development, and ecology. Alexander’s scientific publications take prizes at international conferences. He is also the winner of the republican contest of environmental projects and the case championship Top Talents 2021.

— I am engaged in science, projects, because I am interested in exploring the world, constantly learning something new, and at the same time bringing benefits to society through my activities. My research is mainly related to cities, their development, and all I want to make our cities really more comfortable, convenient for all residents. I am also inspired by people and their success stories – and first of all I am talking about my scientific supervisor, Sergey Vladimirovich Bespalyy, thanks in many ways to whom I am engaged in scientific activity”, - Alexander Petrenko shared.
At his university, our scholarship holder is the head of student self-government and a volunteer organization.
Addressing his peers, Alexander advises not to postpone their ideas, plans, and projects for later.
— Time flies by imperceptibly: it seems only yesterday I graduated from school – and I’m almost a university graduate, an adult. It is important to spend the years of study at the university in an interesting and useful way, - he added.
Alexander learned about the Foundation’s scholarship from his friend, who received it two years ago.
— This scholarship for any student of the country is a sign of quality and proof that you have really achieved something in scientific or creative activity, you are a leader in your field, - the talented Kazakhstani concluded.
