Nikita Boyarkin, a student of the Sports and Physical Education Department of InEU, the goalkeeper of the Kazakhstan national ice hockey team, was recognized as the hero of the day of the last match of the World Ice Hockey Championship. He saved 50 shots against Finland.

“The fans have chosen the hero of the day! Haven't you heard yet? Kazakhstan have won two consecutive shootouts, including today's upset against Finland! Largely thanks to Nikita Boyarkin! " - the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) reports on Twitter.

Yesterday Kazakhstan national hockey team beat Finland for the first time in history. This victory became the second in the selection, thanks to which the Kazakhstani team rose to second place in the group.

Goalkeeper Nikita Boyarkin became the best player of the match, having saved 50 shots. For this, the International Ice Hockey Federation called the Kazakhstani the hero of the day. Congratulations to Nikita on the victory and international recognition!

Note: Nikita Boyarkin is 22 years old. Height - 187 cm, weight - 80 kg. Studying at the Department of Sports and Physical Culture, InEU. He began his professional career in 2016 for the Temirtau hockey club. Then for several years he alternately played for "Temirtau" and Karaganda "Saryarka". In the last season of the championship of Kazakhstan Boyarkin played for "Temirtau", he also played 4 games in Karaganda "Saryarka". In February, he was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the Kazakhstan Cup.
