The spiritual heritage should begin precisely with the heritage of Abay.

Within the framework of the program “Rukhani Zhangyru”, an event dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev’s birthday was held at the Department of Agriculture and Bioresources under the conditions of distance learning.

The purpose of the event: formation of high patriotic consciousness and pride in their homeland, Kazakhstan, familiarizing students with the life and work of the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayev.

For us, Abay Kunanbayev is a poet, enlightener, thinker, founder of new Kazakh literature, translator, composer. His poems and “Words of edification” reflect the lifestyle of the Kazakhs: being, worldview, character, soul, religion, mentality.

Students of the department vigorously discussed the words of edification from the brightest works of Abay Kunanbayev "Words of edification."

Students made reports on the creative path of the great Kazakh poet. They also read excerpts from the works of Abay Kunanbayev, expressed their opinion about the poet’s work, about modernity to those that in those distant years worried Abay. At the end of the event, teachers gave a speech, expressed their admiration for the work of the great poet Abay Kunanbayev and expressed gratitude to the students who prepared this event.

Summing up, we realized that the words of the great poet Abay Kunanbayev are still necessary and relevant in our lives. We received spiritual education through his moral and edifying words, thanks to them we tried to correct ourselves, to build a human character. This is how the poet influenced people.

The poet’s legacy is an inexhaustible treasure of the people. May each Kazakh have many instructive wise words.
