InEU students took part in the youth competition "Phygital Sporttech Innovation Cup – 2026".
InEU students took part in the "Phygital SportTech Innovations Cup 2026," a youth competition for technological innovation in physical education and sports. Over the course of two days, the team, consisting of Sergey Balaba, Alexander Mitrofanov, Sergey Ozeruga, and Lyudmila Shokleva, actively participated in discussions on the implementation of sports technologies and new work formats in the university environment, and also shared their experiences in developing IT technologies in education. The competition generated considerable interest, attracting over 1,400 applications from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Following the selection process, 43 projects advanced to the finals, with InEU students being the only representatives from Kazakhstan. The university team placed in the top 10 and presented their project with distinction. The finals took place in St. Petersburg and attracted 62 in-person participants. Seven projects were presented to conference guests as part of an exhibition of innovative sports technologies, including the InEU team's project. The students' work received high praise from sponsors and international employers. "On behalf of the university representatives, I would like to note that the meeting was productive. We not only outlined new goals and identified objectives, but also personally tested our skills at an interactive exhibition featuring phygital technologies. The event left a lasting impression and opened up new opportunities," noted Lyudmila Shokleva, a lecturer in the Department of Information and Technical Technologies and the team coordinator. "Being the final is already a worthy result. The best of the best gathered here. Losing to the strongest is not so disappointing, but we demonstrated a good level. Having analyzed our mistakes, we will strive for new achievements," shared team captain Sergey Balaba. Irina Ivanovna Lyashenko, a senior lecturer in the Department of Information and Technical Technologies, is the coordinator of the IT-Planeta platform from Innovative University of Eurasia, providing organizational and methodological support to the Olympiad and championship participants.
