The selection is carried out on a competitive basis in accordance with the recruitment plan approved by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For training under the training program for reserve officers, documents are accepted from students of the 1st (with 4-year training) and the second year (with 5-year training).

Students under the age of 24 for the year of the competition are allowed to participate in the competition.

A student who has expressed a desire to participate in the competition for training at the military department, within the period from February 01 to May 01, 2021, draws up an application in the form with the attachment of the following documents:

1. Application (write at the military department);
2. Identity card (original and copy);
3. Certificate of registration or military ID (original and copy);
4. Photos of 3x4 - 2 pieces;
5. Certificate of the presence or absence of a criminal record;
6. A document (if any) confirming a sporting achievement;
7. Certificate of the actual study of the student at the university, signed by the dean of the faculty;
8. Two transparent files for registration of a personal file.

The competition for the selection of students is carried out in four stages:

Stage I - passing a medical examination. To undergo a medical examination, students at the military department receive a completed medical examination card. Medical examination of students is carried out in the local military administration authorities in accordance with the Rules for the conduct of military medical examination. The medical examination is carried out in the year of the competition, from March 1 to May 31. Students who have not passed a medical examination are not allowed to participate in the competition.

Stage II - professional psychological testing. Professional psychological testing of students is carried out by the selection committee in the computer classes of the university and includes checking the level of motivation, stress resistance, critical and logical thinking.

Stage III - check of physical fitness. Physical fitness of students is assessed by the results of passing the standards for physical culture.

Stage IV - competitive selection, carried out in accordance with the calculation of the rating score, compiled and approved by the head of the university in agreement with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The passage of each stage of the competition is allowed only once. An applicant who has not passed the previous stage is not allowed to the next stage.

A student who does not agree with the result of the stages of the competition on the same day applies with a written application to the chairman of the selection committee.
