The National H-index Ranking is an independent international ranking system designed to assess the scientific productivity of researchers, universities, and research institutions. Based on the Hirsch index, this ranking reflects the influence and citation impact of a scholar's published work.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics, more than 23,000 researchers are engaged in scientific activities in Kazakhstan during the 2024–2025 academic year.
