Welcome to the VIP lectures!
As part of the academic mobility, from April 24 to April 27, 2019, a PhD in technical engineering from Kemerovo, head of the department “Thermal Power Engineering” of the Kuzbass Technical University named after T.F. Gorbachev Bogomolov Alexander Romanovich. Students of 2 and 3 courses of the department "Energy and Metallurgy" specialties "Power", "Thermal Engineering" listened to a series of lectures in the direction of "Heat and mass transfer processes in the production of energy for the rational use of energy of coal and gaseous fuels."
Alexander Romanovich, in addition to large scientific baggage, has practical experience in manufacturing. Therefore, during the lectures, information was given out both in theoretical form and using specific production situations from personal experience gained during the work at KAO Azot. This innovative approach interested both students and undergraduates.
The bachelors saw the presentation videos of the department of the Russian university about the directions of its work, learned about the nature of the phenomena in the power plants. Plus, the scientist of KuzGTU considered with them particular cases of mathematical expressions and formulations of the universal law of conservation and transformation of energy and much more.
Masters attended the lectures “Unclaimed products of coke-chemical plants and their use”, “Use of cakes of processing plants in the fuel industry” and others. Undergraduates studying technological processes of metallurgical enterprises, considered the possibility of using coal tar pitch. Of particular interest was the lecture on the composition and approaches of the involvement of residual hydrocarbons in the energy sector.
“I tried to collect interesting and useful information. After all, it is important for masters with our help to solve production issues. They said: have heard about you, we want to hear sound recommendations, ”said Alexander Romanovich.
The final lecture on gas mixtures, and how they behave with respect to condensation temperatures, pushed graduate students to new ways of using theoretical knowledge and putting them into practice. There was a conversation about the possibilities of continuing education after graduation. “Designers are now in great demand both in Russia and in Kazakhstan, the industry is developing, and without designing it is impossible to introduce new technologies and re-equip,” said Alexander Romanovich.
Cooperation between our universities continues for several years. As part of academic mobility, our students and undergraduates have been studying at the Kuzbass Technical University named after T.F. Gorbachev, Kemerovo. Internships and teachers of InEU have repeatedly taken part in it, representatives of both universities participate in joint research.
Such cooperation allows productive exchange of new information, reveals modern approaches to the presentation of the material. All this is useful both to scientists and students of friendly universities.
Our students and undergraduates were impressed and are looking forward to when they can visit KuzGTU!
