Journal List with Impact Factor

Impact Factor is an important characteristic of the scientific journals. It is estimated by Information Science Institute (ISI). The impact factor of a journal is calculated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items published in that journal.

When allocating grants for research projects the most important criteria considered by research foundations are the citations indexes of the project manager and the impact factors of journals previously publishing his work.

The citation process as well described in a review article prepared by the Scientific Electronic Library - the main purpose of the project was to establish a Russian Science Citation Index (V.V.Pislyakov, 2005). For example, If article 'A' quotes article 'B', then at least once in the text, 'A' must link to 'B'.

'J' Journal quoted 'I' magazine. For each usage from 'I' in articles from 'J' they must cite references from 'I'. Thus, if you see an article from another publication mentioned several times, this is one quote in the Citation Index.
